Ta Da! Or Va Va Voom, or Something - the New and Improved Holly (soon to be called Sophie or similar)

Here's a sketch of the newly revised Holly (soon to be renamed to sound more "Englishy") complete with brown hair, svelte figure, updo and all. Do we like her new look? Please keep in mind this was done quickly in the computer so she looks a bit crayola-y or like she's been at the tanning parlor for too long. I'm not so crafty with the digital paint brushes so I'll whip something better up with the real ones soon.

But, in the meantime, what do we think of her new look? Do we like the droopy lids, the blue eyeshadow, the tiniest touch of the come hither glance? More importantly - do we want to hang with Holly?

Sally -
The thing about asking for opinions is that everyone has one but at the end of the day Holly/Sophie/Jane (whatever her name becomes) is all about you.
I think this iteration is almost too sophisticated. She seems like a lady who lunches, in Atlanta, Houston or Charleston maybe, def not NY. The Holly from your previous description is the woman you see on the Brooklyn F or UES 6 train. Brown hair is perfect! Blue eyes, ok. Expression, hmmmm... will have a different context if her clothes were more casual. Somewhere between your prototypes is the kind of women we are (i.e. SohoSally bloggers) - effortless ponytail, stylish jeans, v.nice shoes, giant bag/mobile apt and wearing something black or dark. Really Sally, Holly looks like you! Cool, smart, hip, glasses, without trying (but with my deviant background ; ) It seems that Daisy is a given; that's good because we all love her.
Kudos to you about getting our input though, doing your own market research is critical at this juncture because it will become the brand. It's amazing how many people buy wine based solely on the label (I certainly do and I’m more oeneophile than wine-o).
That’s my (more than) two cents worth.

i like the lefty version (ducking from flying object). the new one seems too busy. give me simple yet fabulous. just like the wine i drink.
This all makes sense. Try one thing - it's too much at one end of the spectrum. Get feedback and go allllll the way to the other. So, in this case, I guess like you said Andrea, I'll take this Holly and put her in less- Ivana Trump like clothes.
I like her cow lick bangs. I think a little less Ivana too. Looking good though!!
Thanks Fred! Back to the drawing board after goofing off most of the weekend...
Sally,
I think you've gone too far in the other direction now. She's too sohpisticated. She looks like she's high society and about 40 years old.
I think you should scrap Holly and concentrate on Daisy. You can imply/infer so much more with an animal than you can with an actual person.
