Who Freezes is Schulo
Whoever sent this to me didn't sign their name. And I have so many questions:
1. Is that a porcupine?
2. Is he carrying a stove on his back?
3. I tried to translate the text on the front: "Wer friert, ist selber schulo" and here's what I got: "Who Freezes is Schulo". Is the porcupine's name Schulo?
4. If the porcupine isn't named Schulo then who or what IS Schulo?
5. Internet do you speak German?

The porcupine is obviously an enslaved worker, forced to drag burning hot coal stoves around the Swiss Alps for his employers' dastardly plans. He's writing to you in code, to beg that you take immediate and decisive action to rid him of his oppressive overlords. Their name is Schulo. The eagle flies at dusk.
His smile is forced. His tears - frozen in the cold air. The clothing he wears is in tatters and insufficent to keep his tiny body warm at the mountainous altitude. As he climbs ever higher only thoughts of his home in the peaceful clearing near the village at the base of the mountain keep him going.
I'm going to start crying.
Never fear porcupine! We will save you!!
That looks more like a hedgehog to me. I believe the postcard is intended to be humourous. The hedgehog is skiing in the cold. But he is a clever hedgehog and has strapped a stove to his back so he can ski in the frosty climate but still be toasty and warm. Ha ha! Oh, the funny!
Based on this, I believe the translation is roughly, "If you freeze, you're a Schulo." So Schulo is obviously Austrian slang for jackass. Now I'm going to have to try and work Schulo into my everyday vocabulary.
